2003 Dealers' Conference a success

The Tech Update featured CrossMaster-HD®; Customer Profile Interface; Director
Series; Bar Coding; KOLD; ProfitMaster™ Sales Management; and a
combined presentation on "Your Future With Karmak" from President
Richard Schien and Executive Vice President Bill Healy.
"The Game Plan to Customer Loyalty" was
Richard Schien's lunch presentation. Referring to Jeffrey
Gitomer's book, Customer Satisfaction is Worthless; Customer
Loyalty is Priceless, Richard discussed ways to create a stronger
bond between you and your customers.
One recommendation that Gitomer presents
when surveying customers is to use only one question, "Please
describe the most memorable thing that took place during your last
transaction with our business." We took his advice and
replaced our usual general survey with that question. We were
pleased with the many positive remarks, including:
- "Version 5.7-1 load went the best we
have ever loaded!"
- "I appreciate the friendly and
helpful service I ALWAYS receive from Parts and Service
Support."
- "Learning subtle shortcuts to
streamline usage of the various modules in my
dealership."
- "Everything was great."
- "Time-saving tips at
Conference."
- "The friendly attitude of all Karmak
employees."
- "Frank's presentation on Customer
Service -- Excellent!"
- "Being able to meet with the Karmak
staff and customers, and comparing notes on how to best use
the business system."
- "This is my first transaction, and
it has been very informative."
The 2-1/2 day conference was full of
classroom presentations and roundtable discussions on Karmak
business systems, including INFO 5, Legend, and ProfitMaster,
Karmak's new Windows-based line of products.
Mark your calendars for next year's
conferences! The Distributors' Conference is slated for March 3,
4, and 5, 2004; Dealers' Conference dates are October 6, 7, and 8.
Both events will be held again at the Sheraton St. Louis City
Center.
