New Legend
Customer Part Number Cross module
How many times have your customers
complained to you that they need “their” part number on their
invoice, not your part number? Now you have a way to give them
what they want with Customer Part Number Cross—a new
module now available for Legend customers. It allows you to create
a cross reference from the part number in inventory to the part
number the customer recognizes. When an invoice is printed through
Parts Order Entry/Processing (PO120), the cross reference
prints on the invoice beneath the sold item in the comments
section. Customer Part Cross File Maintenance (PO960)
allows you to add, edit, delete, display, or scroll customer part
cross references. Talk to your Karmak
Regional Manager or call Karmak Sales at 1-800-622-6311
for more information.
New products now
available for INFO
5
Tennessee
tax changes for Legend,
INFO 5,
and ProfitMaker
Effective July 15, 2002, a new
taxing structure was implemented in the state of Tennessee. While
many of the tax changes could be handled with existing software, a
new tax, referred to as the Tennessee General Fund Tax, specifies
both a minimum and maximum cutoff for individual line items. In
other words, any single line item (excluding labor and flat-rated
parts) that meets the minimum amount will be charged the new tax
up to the maximum cutoff amount.
Because existing tax structures
were unable to accommodate the new General Fund Tax, modifications
were needed in the Legend, INFO 5, and ProfitMaker packages. The
modifications are nearing completion, with beta testing scheduled
for the near future. Once the software changes have been
implemented successfully at selected beta sites, the changes will
be sent to all customer locations.
