INFO 5 - Checking system messages

Do you need to check on printer output or messages while you are in the middle of an INFO 5 program? If your AS/400 is configured to use the IBM default attention handling program, then pressing the System Attention key on a 5250 terminal (usually the Esc key on a PC) will take you immediately to the AS/400 Operational Assistant Menu (ASSIST). Once on this menu, option 1 will let you work with your printer output (spooled files), option 3 will let you display messages, and option 4 will let you send messages. If you are a systems administrator, you will have additional options available. Pressing CMD-12 will return you to where you were when you pressed the System Attention key.
