ProfitMaster® preview
meetings - October 4 & 5, 2004
|
|
Karmak is hosting two information-filled days of preview meetings for the ProfitMaster
Lease/Rental and Service Management modules. The Lease/Rental meeting will be held on Monday, October 4, 2004 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. The Service Management meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 5, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Both meetings are being held at the
Sheraton St. Louis City Center in St. Louis, Mo.
At these meetings, you will learn more about Karmak’s plans for the ProfitMaster Lease/Rental and Service Management modules, view product demonstrations, provide your feedback, and visit with Karmak’s designers, managers, and executives.
Attendance at these meetings is free of charge, and you are welcome to attend one or both meetings.

In addition to

5 training classes, the Karmak Training Center is now offering webinars. A webinar is an interactive class conducted over the Internet.
New Legend webinars include classes on Miscellaneous P/Os for accounting, at the
counter, and in the service shop; creating and maintaining users accounts; and

system managers is coming to Springfield, Missouri. Visit the Legend and INFO

End-of-year sunset
date set for ProfitMaker
|
|
Karmak’s ProfitMaker software is being replaced by our latest software offerings, PartsDirector™ and
ServiceDirector™.
Because we are continually working hard to provide you with the best software for your needs, we have incorporated the latest technology available when creating PartsDirector and ServiceDirector. Microsoft .Net framework has allowed us to include features in our new software that will enable you to more easily navigate the software and more quickly access data. Because of these benefits offered with Karmak’s Director Series (which includes PartsDirector and ServiceDirector), we are announcing the upcoming sunset date for ProfitMaker as December 31, 2004.
Karmak will continue to support ProfitMaker through the end of 2004. After that time, we will offer Help Desk Support and product upgrades only for our Director Series products, PartsDirector and ServiceDirector.

Kenworth Truck Company recently named the 2004 Kenworth Service Council. These members were chosen from a group of leading service managers from Kenworth dealerships in the United States and Canada. The goal of the Kenworth Service Council is to promote service and product improvements.

Kenworth Truck Company has named the members of its 2004 Kenworth Parts Council. The council consists of leading parts managers from Kenworth dealerships in the United States and Canada. The goal of this council is to enhance communication between Kenworth and its dealer network.

Karmak manager assumes
additional duties
|

Mike Root |
Mike Root, Manager of Systems and Vendor Communications Support, has recently assumed the duties of Legend New Accounts, Training and Installations. These areas were consolidated to bring the entire Legend implementation process into one department. Mike has assumed this added responsibility, in addition to maintaining his current role of Manager of Systems and Vendor Communications Support. This change was effective
July 6, 2004.
ProfitMaster Services, which includes the Director Series
products, will continue to be managed by Barb Mitchell. This realignment of responsibility has enabled Barb to focus more intensely on the current and future deployment of ProfitMaster products and modules.
