ProfitMaster
Sales Management 1.5 coming soonProfitMaster Sales Management Version 1.5 is currently in beta testing and will soon be available. This release includes many software and user interface enhancements based on customer feedback. These are just a few of the new features designed to streamline business processes and improve your sales operation:
GM RIM software interface is now available for Karmak Legend® systems, and development is currently in progress for the interface to INFO 5® systems.
RIM provides GM dealers with automatic management of their parts inventory. Dealers transmit parts history, daily sales, and inventory data from their Legend systems back to GM, via Karmak, for analysis. GM, in turn, transfers suggested returns and purchase order information, again via Karmak. This makes it easy for dealers to order parts and manage their inventory, and keep that inventory current and relevant to their daily business.
Legend users must be on Legend Version 5.9-1 to use the interface. To order your Legend upgrade, contact Shawna Morton at 1-800-252-7625 or . For details and pricing on the GM RIM interface, contact your Karmak sales representative, or call 800-622-6311.

When powerful storms swept through the Midwest on July 19, 2006, hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses were without power for several days. At Karmak headquarters in Carlinville, Ill., however, it was business as usual thanks to careful preparation and a reliable backup system. Within a few seconds of losing electricity, a generator equipped with a Caterpillar 3406c engine kicked in to power the facility for two days.
“Our number one priority is keeping our customers and Karmak up at all times,” said Jerry Loveless, Facilities Manager. “Other than the noise of the generator running, nobody would know when we are on it.”

In addition to sustaining the productivity of more than 100 employees at the 36,000+ square foot facility, the generator ensures that customers running on Karmak’s ASP network are not disrupted by a local power failure. In fact, they would not notice the instant switch at all, according to Aaron Shipley, IT Manager.
The generator is controlled and monitored via remote software and is capable of running at full load for three days on one tank of fuel. Maintenance includes frequent checks on gauges, switches, oil, and water, 4 hours of operation every weekend, and service by Caterpillar twice a year. Additional protection plans for the ASP network include moving servers to a remote local site or to our Springfield, Mo., office in the event that local disaster solutions are not viable.
