PagerPlus monitors an OpenVMS system and alerts
selected support staff, by pager, e-mail, or broadcast messages whenever conditions
you have selected occur. See monitoring examples.
Valuable
With PagerPlus, you will never walk in on Monday to find that Friday's backup didn't run
completely. It gives
your staff the opportunity to handle problems before they develop into something worse. It
increases productivity in the systems department. It also makes your job easier, knowing
you will be informed when or if any pre-defined alert conditions occur.
You no longer have to constantly check the system. PagerPlus detects when
the system deviates from the ideal settings. PagerPlus institutes automated corrective actions even
before you are notified.
Easy to install and use
You simply define the ideal conditions by entering them in configuration screens. For example, to monitor a file,
you would enter the filename on the appropriate configuration screen. PagerPlus will then monitor the file's existence. If it is missing, the program will alert
you. If a file that shouldn't exist appears, you will be notified. It's that simple. PagerPlus can even alert others if
you don't receive or don't want to receive the
message.
