Track R/O
numbers quickly and easily
continued from Did You Know?
<BACK
The R/O number log can tell you many important pieces of information,
including:
- The username who created a repair order, and the date and time it was created.
- Whether the R/O number was assigned by the system or manually created by the
user.
- Whether the R/O was created by Combine/Split Repair Orders
(RS125), the R/O number it was combined with or created from, the
username who performed the combine/split and the date and time it was performed.
- Whether the R/O number was voided without being added to the system.
- Whether the R/O was deleted out of the system, the username who
deleted and the date and time it was deleted.
- When an R/O was invoiced, the username who invoiced it and the invoice number.
- Whether the R/O was a secondary R/O created by alternate accounting, and the original R/O and operation it was created from.
- Whether the R/O was re-opened after invoicing; the username who re-opened
it and the date and time it was re-opened.
You can search the R/O number log by R/O number, a date range, a particular program
name and by keyword search.
The original R/O number is kept in the
description field. This happens when a new R/O is created by splitting an R/O or by alternate accounting. You can enter the original R/O number in the keyword search, and find the warranty R/O that was created from a customer R/O. This is particularly useful when the failed parts are tagged with the original R/O number.
You can activate this feature by setting
Branch Option Line #118 to Y, and adding R/O Number Log (RS956) to a menu. Karmak's Parts & Service
Support Group can help you set up the R/O number log on your system.
